You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch

The best song from the best version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Listen for the great clarinet parts. The singer (also the voice of Tony the Tiger, according to YouTubist cAsSiEiSwHoIaM) was Thurl Ravenscroft. Great voice!

  1. Thurl didn't even get screen credit for that.

He also sang "No Dogs Allowed" in Snoopy, Come Home, and he was the voice of Eeyore.

  2. WOW! He was the voice of Eeyore?! And he didn't get screen credit for "The Grinch"?! That's awful. He had a great voice.

  3. You should hear DH sing this. Ask him when you come for your Christmas visit. He does a pretty good job. Cracks me up.

  4. Oh....*this* is what you were talking about! I love this song. I bet my dh could sing it really well, but he never performs on cue.

  5. Did you happen to catch Gus Lloy'd "Grinch" parody about Lino Rulli? It's actually pretty good.
