This is an amazing video of Dr. Carol Williams playing an organ built in 1610. I've heard this type of music played, usually as a background for a program about King Henry VIII or Queen Elizabeth I, but I've never actually seen anyone play the instrument itself.
I love the videos you post. This was really cool. Music from all eras has its own charm and it is so neat to actually see the instrument and the guy working the bellows. We're spoiled today with our electronics.
When my dh heard me playing this is said it sounded like the Renassaince Festival. The woman who is playing it sounds so excited for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteIt does. I thought it was cool to find this video. I'm going to post more of her stuff next Monday.

ReplyDeleteTrue, Barbara! My dh can make the "keyboard" at our church sound like just about anything!
