Art and Beauty Tuesday--Kazu Shimura

Today we revisit our friend Kazu Shimura, a Japanese artist from Tokyo as he paints for us a Mallow, which blooms in October in Japan.

  1. This is very beautiful. It reminds me of a Qigong teacher I've studied with before named, Master Wu. He did calligraphy on large pieces of scroll as we watched. It is truly amazing to watch each brush stroke turn into a thing of great beauty. http://www.masterwu.net/calligraphy01.htm

  2. Calligraphy of all kinds is so beautiful! I think writing as art has been lost.

  3. I love traditional Asian art and it is good to see the techniques preserved and used. Thanks for posting this video.
