Catholic Series on 12 Steps
I wanted to highlight yet another new (to me) blog and a wonderful series currently going on there. Adrienne of Adrienne's Catholic Corner has a great series on the 12 Steps of Alcoholic's Anonymous from a Catholic perspective. The 12 steps are so relevant in today's culture, especially with so much of our society based on our addictions: to possessions, to food, money, sex, power, computers...you name it; just about everything in Western society can be addictive to someone. It is only through surrender to Our Lord that we can become sane and functional.
Check out Adrienne's series on the 12 steps.
Hat tip to Father John Speekman.

The 12 steps can be applicable to any addiction, really. The first step is
1) We admitted we were powerless over our addiction - that our lives had become unmanageable.
