We beg her--get help!
Horrified, she circles the
wagon of one.

  1. I sense beauty in this haiku without understanding what it means.
Can you pl. explain? Or does it lose its meaning once it is revealed?
    thanks

  2. Thanks for asking, Gabe. The haiku is about my 81 year old aunt who is resisting getting the help she needs as she ages. She is "alone" in the sense that she has no husband and no children, hence the "wagon of one".

  3. Yes, the arrows are flying and I must save the errant children.

    Come foolish children
    Quickly, gather our weapons
    Who will rescue us
