on the old Torii gate.
Red berries bring hope.

gently, on tired black coats.

early morning
giving way to stifling day
the fog lifts

early morning reality
disappears
in the foggy mirage

I feel the coolness
in the quiet harvest night
and offer thanks

collapsing star
focused; centered energy
paths converge

in the cold
optimistic bird
singing loudly

seven squirrels
culinary cramming--
first freeze

early fall morning
dense fog hugs the ground
spirits walk

immutable
specters retreat behind
morning mist

restless soul
painfully restricting
bursting cocoon

today
breaks on the shore
wet sand

spiders
in the house
darkness

my two black
animals immobile
from the heat

the rain on the asphalt
lit up by the amber streetlight
red umbrella

amber waves
of goldenrod
summer's here

weary, thirsting
reaching out to the heavens
it finally rains

a ghost
