Singing and Dancing the Blues

This is a 1924 recording of The Half Of It, Dearie, Blues, from Lady Be Good, played on the piano by George Gershwin and the tap dancing and singing by Fred Astaire.

Notice Gershwin adding some Rhapsody in Blue in the piano part.

The vid includes some great autographed pics. Someone is quite a collector!

And for your further entertainment, edification, and musical education, here is Gershwin himself playing his famous composition, Rhapsody in Blue. Gotta love that clarinet opening!! (Actually, there are great clarinet parts throughout this entire version. Listen for the bass clarinet.)
