Inauguration 2009
In spite of the fact that I am a TV-free, middle aged Republican, I am watching the presidential inauguration coverage on CNN's live feed today via Facebook. However one may feel about the incoming administration, the peaceful transfer of power in the U.S. is something not to be taken for granted. In addition, today's inauguration of the first African American president is a truly historic one, as is the amazing technology that makes it possible for us to see it on such a personal level.

I had to watch it with a room full of kindergarteners that I was trying to keep quiet so the teacher could hear the speach. Not an easy feat. Glad you found a way to watch it.
ReplyDeleteAw, man!! How did the kindergartners react to all that history?
ReplyDeleteHi, I just read on another blog that you posted a recipe for Lentil Soup. Where can I find that? I love lentils. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the other blog? I've searched this one and haven't found it, and don't remember posting it. (Doesn't mean I didn't though.) Could it have been Dymphna over at Dymphna's Road?
ReplyDeleteWell, it took me several minutes to go back and see what I looked at this morning. I hope this is what you can open to read the comments. Yup, it's you.
