Oh, now I remember it! I think it is on the CD that "got me to your house" that trip which seems so very long ago. It ia a nice song. I'd like to hear your dh sing it. I bet it's beautiful.
Cygnus--Lifeisgreat informs me that Faith Hill's song is "Breath" and its not the same. But, as I said, I would have no idea, because I don't really listen to country music.
They're both named "Breathe," but they're not the same song. Here's the refrain from Faith Hill's version:
Cause I can feel you breathe Washing over me Suddenly I'm melting into you There's nothing left to prove Baby all we need is just to be Caught up in the touch The slow and steady rush An'Baby, isn't that the way that love's supposed to be I can feel you breathe Just breathe
And those aren't the only songs with that title either.
Maybe Lifeisgreat was thinking of "Breath", a parody of the above by Cledus T. Judd:
Cause I can smell your breath It's gagging me to death Something must have died inside of you What you ought to do Is chase a Cert or two With Listerine Even when you're gone The odor lingers on I'm buying you an Oral B and a jumbo tube of Crest Cause I can smell your breath Bad breath
Please forgive me for this major-league digression from what your original point was!
The first couple of times I heard this song (several years ago) I was not to crazy about it. Then it started to grow on me. Now it's up there as one of my favorites. I've even sang and played this at our Parish in Glen Burnie.
I would love to hear DH sing it to. I bet he really does a great job with it.

ReplyDeleteIt is. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but I can never hear that song without thinking of Faith Hill. That's what I get for working at a country station.
ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't know Faith Hill did it too. I admit to not being able to stomach most country music (except for Southern Rock type stuff.)

That's ok, Cygnus!

Thanks! He does change the words a bit to make them more suitable for a communion meditation hymn.
